Have a great time at our Monument Branch and Palmer Lake Branch Annual Winter Fest on February 28, which this year will be held at the Western Museum of Mining (225 North Gate Blvd.) to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Colorado Gold Rush. Activities will include face painting, crafts, museum tours, gold panning, and refreshments. For more information call Monument Branch, 488-2370.

The Monument, Briargate, and Palmer Lake branches are hosting their Summer Reading Party at the Tri-Lakes YMCA in Monument. Don’t miss this amazing party that features live tarantulas, Air Force Academy falcons, Mountainaire reptiles, face painting, a moon bounce, tons of games and free food and drink!

COME IF YOU DARE!
In a dark, dark, room, lit only by candlelight, stories and special effects will send chills and shivers up your spine. This fright night is suggested for brave ones at least eight years old.

Hey Kids! Check out these fun events happening at the Palmer Lake Branch this summer!
Wednesday @ 10:30 a.m. :
- June 6-Do Reindeer Really Fly? Meet live reindeer! Take pictures and bring apples to feed to these friendly animals.
- June 13-Solve-it-Yourself. Use your powers of deduction to help library storytellers solve some animal mysteries. Then make your own gumshoe sneaker and a picture that shows what you see in your camera.
- June 20-Spot the Difference: Reptiles. Do you know the difference between a tortoise and a turtle, a frog and a toad, a centipede and a millipede? Meet new animal friends from Mountain Aire Reptile rescue and Sanctuary. Take home a craft to continue the fun.
- June 27-The Missing Nose. Mystery of mysteries! The clown has lost his red nose! Was it stolen? Did a passing reindeer borrow it or did he just misplace it in the strawberry jam? Jim Jackson’s one clown circus returns with his signature combination of hilarious magic, juggling, and puppetry.
