African American Genealogical Society of Colorado Springs (AAGSCS)

Meetings: Third Saturday of each month.
Location: Family History Center (LDS), 150 Pine Avenue (Old Broadmoor Road and Pine Avenue), Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Membership: Anyone interested in using a personal computer to research and record family data is invited to join.
Specialties: The objectives of the African-American Genealogical Society of Colorado Springs (AAGSCS) is to promote interest in African-American genealogy; encourage the study of Black history; accumulate and preserve African-American genealogical materials and to assist members with their research

Pikes Peak Genealogical Society

Founded: 1980
Meetings: Second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
Location: Penrose Public Library
Membership: Open to anyone interested in genealogy, including beginning and advanced researchers.
Specialties: Programs on genealogical research, an annual seminar featuring nationally recognized genealogists, and a series of classes on genealogical research methods are offered by the society. The organization also assists in the acquisition of materials for the Family History Collection in the library.

Pikes Peak Computer Genealogists

Meetings: Fourth Wednesday of each month.
Location: Penrose Public Library
Membership: Anyone interested in using a personal computer to research and record family data is invited to join.
Specialties: Meetings feature programs related to the use of personal computers in genealogical research. Discussions of problems encountered by members in using computers and suggested solutions are also a part of each meeting.
